HIGHLITE projector sold into Brazil
Manchester,
January 29th 2001: Digital Projection Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of
IMAX Corporation, is delighted to announce Brazil has received its
first Digital Projection Display. Sterling, Digital Projection's
exclusive distributor in Brazil, sold a HIGHLITE 5000gv projector to
Estudios Mega, a prestigious Brazilian post-production house. The
projector will be used by Estudios Mega to show exceptional pictures on
a large screen, whether giving computer based presentations, viewing
video or digital HD TV.
Estudios
Mega claim to be the market leading post-production house in Brazil,
with state-of-the-art capabilities including Cintel C-Reality Telecine,
Digital Vision DVNR - Data 2K & HiDef. The management of Estudios
Mega believe that the HIGHLITE 5000gv projector is the best available
on the market, as it produces stunningly precise images, which could be
attributed to Digital Projection's film background, different than
potential competitors.
The
HIGHLITE 5000gv which provides more than 4500 ANSI lumens at XGA
resolution, is used for playback to provide visual reference during the
post-production process at Estudios Mega's branch in Sao Paulo and
headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.
Sterling,
established in 1987, work closely with many industry renowned suppliers
such as Digital Projection, Vistek and Digital Vision to provide audio
visual solutions to companies throughout Brazil. Their customer base
includes prestigious names such as TV GLOBO, TV SBT, SKY and DIRECTV.
