DIGITAL PROJECTION UNVEILS NEW PROJECTION SYSTEMS AT INFOCOMM 2001

Launch Includes Projectors That Deliver Large-Venue, Market-Leading Brightness With Precision Clarity

Manchester, June 13, 2001 - Digital Projection International (DPI) - an IMAX company - today announced it's next generation of all-digital, ultra-high-bright presentation, entertainment and multimedia projection systems. The new "20 Series" LIGHTNING Displays are an expansion of DPI's current LIGHTNING Display projectors, all based on 3-chip DLP™ technology by Texas Instruments.

According to Mike Levi, president of Digital Projection, Inc., the launch also marks the company's first-ever offering of a range of projectors that significantly exceed 12,000 ANSI lumens, the industry's previous maximum lumen threshold. "Digital Projection is again proud to be offering even more powerful imaging tools to support the creative dreams of our customers. In the hands of these innovative users, our 2nd generation LIGHTNING Series projectors literally open doors to new large-venue applications," said Levi.

DPI will exhibit the new LIGHTNING 22gv, LIGHTNING 22sx, LIGHTNING 25sx and LIGHTNING 28sx at INFOCOMM 2001. DPI will also be exhibiting its existing POWER, LIGHTNING and HIGHlite Displays throughout the three-day event.

The new LIGHTNING "20" Series build standard brings vast improvements to the LIGHTNING chassis. Enhanced reliability and simplicity of use are implemented in the LIGHTNING projectors, which are recognized as the display of preference for the highest profile events in the world, such as the Academy, Emmy and Blockbuster award broadcasts. Each unit is engineered with advanced cooling and filtration systems as well as ruggedised mechanical construction to support high performance, large-venue imaging.
