Creative Technology Play's A Leading Role in the 53rd Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards Ceremony
Creative Technology was chosen to provide projection technology to showcase the television industry's most prestigious event.
Los
Angeles, CA - November 4, 2001 - Creative Technology North America was
selected to provide display technology for the 53rd Annual Primetime
Emmy® Awards ceremony, which took place in Los Angeles. The celebration
was held at the Shubert Theatre and hosted by comedian and actress,
Ellen DeGeneres. CBS aired event nationwide on Sunday, November 4th
(8:00 - 11:00 p.m. live ET/delayed PT). Walter Cronkite introduced the
broadcast. NBC's drama series "The West Wing", HBO's comedy "Sex and
the City" and CBS's comedy "Everybody Loves Raymond were some of the
top winners. And Barbara Streisand ended the evening with a show
stopping performance of "You'll Never Walk Alone". Creative Technology
provided two Digital Projection 15 SX projectors to project the
evenings video images onto CT's 12' x 19' high gain screen on the main
stage.
Richard
A. Pizante, Associate Producer working with Seligman Entertainment
Inc., was the associate producer for the Emmy® broadcast. Seligman
Entertainment has produced spectacular events including previous Emmyâ
telecasts, the Oscars, the Kennedy Center Honors, and most recently,
America's Celebration at Ford's Theatre. "Creative Technology supported
us through each phase of this year's event. They were very
accommodating in rescheduling equipment and staff and were very
cooperative in reassessing budgets to ensure that our needs were met.
