Manchester, UK. 15th March 2002: Digital Projection International (DPI), the world leading digital projector manufacturer based in Manchester, today announced the addition of two new large venue projectors to add to it's successful product line-up. This super-rugged THUNDER range, has been specifically designed for the most demanding environments including staging and rental, broadcast and large fixed installations.

The THUNDER 9000gv benefits from 10,000 ANSI lumen light output and an XGA (1024 x 768) resolution with optional SD-SDi. The THUNDER 10000sx features 9,500 ANSI lumens and SXGA (1280 x 1024) resolution with optional SD-SDi or HD-SDi.

Both THUNDER displays feature composite, component and DVI inputs as standard. A unique link mode function offers conversion of analogue and digital sources to DVI output, making them ideal for easy stacking and multiple link capability. This function offers crystal clear images and the potential of 160,000 ANSI lumens brightness without the need for an external splitter. The THUNDER models' PC memory card slot enables easy exchange of memory settings between projectors.

Each projector includes memorised lens mount for automatic optical resizing between aspect ratios, a quiet 48dB and seamless switching, which allow clean and continuous displays perfect for any application.

The highly acclaimed 3-chip DLP™ technology from Texas Instruments can be found at the heart of these new THUNDER displays, enabling the projectors to produce stunning image quality, which Digital Projection is renowned.
