DIGITAL PROJECTION INTERNATIONAL TO SHOWCASE ENTIRE LINEUP OF PROJECTORS AT INFOCOMM 2003
KENNESAW, GA, (May 22, 2003) - Digital
Projection International (DPI), an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of
high-performance projection systems, will showcase its entire lineup of
single-chip and 3-chip projectors featuring DLP™ technology in its 50 x
70-foot booth at infoComm 2003 (booth #1849, June 3 to 5, Orlando).
DPI's newest products, the iVision and MERCURY series, will be among
the products featured in their dynamic, large-scale exhibition.
The DPI exhibit at infoComm 2003 will include two dramatic centerpiece
screens, demonstrating the company's acumen at applying its
revolutionary projection technology for precise imaging applications.
The first centerpiece-a five mega-pixel image on a 40 x 10-foot Stewart
screen-will be illuminated by DPI's flagship LIGHTNING 28sx projectors,
arranged in a 4 x 1 soft-edge blend array. A Montage multi-input,
multi-output windowing processor supplied by Vista Systems will
generate the on-screen content.
The second centerpiece screen will be rendered by nine DPI HIGHlite
6000Dsx projection systems producing a 24 x 16-foot image comprised of
more than 10 mega-pixels. Dataton's WatchOut system will provide
content for this immersive technology application.
On a variety of additional screens throughout the exhibit, DPI will
demonstrate its newest products, including the single-chip DLP™ based
iVision sx, 3-chip DLP™ based MERCURY 5000gv and the high-brightness,
lower-cost SHOWlite 6000gv. Weighing only 6.5 pounds, the iVision HD
delivers 3,000 ANSI lumens and 1000:1 contrast ratio, in an
ultra-compact and portable chassis. The MERCURY 5000gv incorporates an
efficient application of 3-chip Dark Metal DLPä technology by Texas
Instruments and delivers brightness of 4500 ANSI lumens and a contrast
ratio of 800:1 through XGA native resolution DMD's.
