DIGITAL PROJECTION INTERNATIONAL IS OFFICIAL PROVIDER TO SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL FOR EIGHTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR
Annual Film Festival Will Screen More Films Digitally Than Ever Before

KENNESAW, GA, (January 5, 2006) – Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy â Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, announced that for the eighth consecutive year, DPI will be the official provider of digital projectors to the Sundance Film Festival. The annual event will be held January 19 th – 29 th in Park City, Utah.

The Sundance Film Festival will feature screenings on a wide variety of DPI's diverse line of projectors. Two LIGHTNING 35HD 3-chip DLP Professional series displays will be used in both the Eccles and Jeanne Wagner Theaters for large venue film screenings. Eight HIGHlite 12000sx+ 3-Chip DLP Professional series projectors will be utilized for films shown in the Egyptian Theater, Prospector Theater, Library Center, and four Park City Holiday Theaters. In addition, five Mercury 5000 HD 3-chip DLP projectors will be used for films in the Broadway Theaters as well as press-only viewings in the Yarrow Theater. The annual event will showcase a full range of films digitally on screens ranging from 7 feet to 33 feet wide.

DPI began its relationship with the Sundance Film Festival in 1999 and the use of the company's 3-chip DLP displays has steadily increased into the eighth year. The 2006 festival will feature more digital screenings of films than ever before in a total of fifteen different venues. Of the 193 total films being shown, 52% will be shown on a display from Digital Projection International.
