ATLANTA, GA, (June 5, 2007) - Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmyâ Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, announced that the company will introduce three new products based on its TITAN Professional series at infoComm 2007: the TITAN SX+ 600, TITAN HD-600 and TITAN 1080p-600. The new projectors feature dual-lamp technology and augment the company’s product line with the brightest TITAN projectors to date.
Based on dual 300-watt lamp systems and delivering 8,000 – 11,000 ANSI lumens, depending on model, the new TITAN Pro Series II displays expand DPI’s moderately priced 3-chip DLP® offerings, providing significant increases in brightness for more demanding applications. Users can elect to run one lamp at a time to extend total run hours, or both lamps in tandem for maximum lumens. Additionally, as a member of DP’s new Pro Series II category, operation of the 110V projectors is extraordinarily cool and quiet, due DP’s innovative SilentStreamTM airflow management design.
Employing the latest in Texas Instruments’ dark metal DLP® technology, the exclusive design of the TITAN Professional series is based on an ultra-compact, robustly built and extremely versatile platform. Weighing only 59.5 lbs and constructed with rugged, integrated handles, the TITAN Pro series chassis features a rigid yet lightweight aluminum exterior, perfectly suited for both permanent installations and applications that require portability and ease of rigging. The units also benefit from DPI’s NextGen signal processing, which deliver best-in-class de-interlacing, motion adaptive interpolation, HDCP compatibility and DP’s exclusive ColorMaxTM 7-point colorimetry and Xenon Color Mode (SX+ and 1080p models).
As members of DP’s Pro Series II family, lenses for the TITAN SX+600 and 1080p-600 are fully interchangeable with those utilized by DPI’s LIGHTNING SX+ and the new LIGHTNING 1080p projectors. For staging and rental, TITAN’s can be ordered with an optional Pro series rigging and stacking frame, featuring RapidRigTM technology – which simplifies projector stacking and provides integrated pitch, roll and yaw adjustments per unit.
According to Mike Levi, President of DPI: “These new High Brightness products carry forward our vision for the simple but increasingly powerful TITAN product family – which is now 9 products strong. Whether customers are seeking XGA, SX+, 720p or 1080p native resolution, equipping a boardroom, a command center, a worship environment or even an elaborate home venue, DP’s flexible range of TITAN displays deliver beautiful 3-chip DLP® imagery, at prices and performance suited for every venue.”
Other key features of the TITAN Pro Series II displays include*:
- Rugged, lightweight and mechanically adaptable all-aluminum cabinet construction equips the units for any application and venue.
- Multi-layer skeletal chassis – provides the most rigid platform of any 3-chip display and assures the accurate alignment of prism and optics endures for the long term.
- Up to seven user-selectable inputs, including HDCP compliant DVI and HD-SDI (sx+ and 1080p only) provides maximum source connectivity.
- Seven-point color correction for expanded color space and super-accurate end-user color alignment (sx+ and 1080p only).
- Xenon Color Mode - User selectable notch filter and xenon-color mode processing, enable TITAN projectors to closely replicate the spectral performance of a xenon lamp-based products (sx+ and 1080p only).
- DP’s NextGen electronics produce amazingly resolute and artifact-free video and HD imagery through DP’s advanced de-interlacing and motion adaptive interpolation. SD and HD sources are processed using auto 3:2 and 2:2 extraction.
- Minimal video delay from input to screen – as low as 1 frame, depending on source, renders the TITAN’s suitable for IMAG and Broadcast applications.
- Sealed optics, which protect DMD’s and other focal plane components from airborne contaminants, assure color uniformity, luminance uniformity and system brightness remains optimized.
- DMD’sTM incorporating Texas Instruments’ Fast Transition Pixel (FTP) technology, produce smooth grey scale and improved black levels and contrast.
- Low cost, High Intensity Discharge 1500-hour lamps with precision reflectors, render a very low long-term cost of ownership – even for high use applications.
- Extensive range of high quality Pro Series II lenses, providing throw ratio’s from .67:1 up to 7.0:1, all with extensive vertical and horizontal lens shift.
- Reversible LED illuminated input panel and user keypad provide easy to view access to intuitive user interface.
- Full operational performance with mains input between 90-264 volts
- Proprietary cooling system offering incredibly quiet performance while maintaining small and lightweight platform.
- Fully inverted operation through 360 degrees of pitch and 12 degrees of roll – supports unusual mechanical installations.
DPI will demonstrate the new high-brightness TITAN projectors at INFOCOMM 2007, June 19-21 in Anaheim, booth 2419.
