KENNESAW, GA, (June 1, 2005)-
Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmyâ Award-winning
manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, has recently
announced the availability of the LIGHTNING 35HD-T Pro Series Display.
As the latest evolution of the 35HD, the most popular 2K resolution
large venue projector in the world, Digital Projection's 35HD-T
provides active 3D compatibility at resolutions up to 2048 x 1080
pixels, making the product well-suited for visualization users with
high resolution and/or wide aspect ratio applications. Twin-Dual DVI
inputs accept sources of up to 12 bits per color (R, G & B). These
sources are pixel mapped to the DMD's via de-gamma processing with an
output grey scale resolution of 16 bits per color, producing a total
on-screen pallet of more than 280 trillion colors at any resolution up
to 2K. With this twin-dual DVI capability, the 35HD-T produces the
highest color depth of any projector available today.
The 35HD-T is
also equipped with DPI's new, hyper-cooled lamp module. Engineered with
a proprietary, directional-flow reflector mask and radial heat
exchanger, the hyper-cooled module dramatically improves projector
thermal characteristics and extends reflector life and lumen
maintenance. In turn, these operating benefits provide a significant
reduction to cost of operation and long-term cost of ownership, while
also enhancing component reliability. The new lamp module also includes
a digital hour meter, which is designed to be easy to read whether the
module is in a projector or on a shelf.
" As the first
product within our Professional Series lineup, the original LIGHTNING
35HD has been an exceptional display for Digital Projection and the
large venue installation and events markets" commented Mike Levi,
President of DPI. It was designed in partnership with our most expert
staging customers, and as a result, the 35HD embodied the most rugged,
mechanically capable large venue projector ever conceived. The new
35HD-T carries forward all of the benefits of the 35HD - the
exceptional rigging and stacking hardware with integrated pitch and
roll adjustments - while also delivering the enhanced benefits of
active 3D capability, extended color depth, improved lumen maintenance
and reduced cost of ownership. We are certain this evolution of our
flagship chassis will empower even more users in key vertical markets,
such as simulation and visualization, to extend the limits of the
applications they innovate."
The 35HD-T can
also be configured with a variety of control options, including LAN and
wireless LAN. When paired with DPI's MMS 1000 multi-source processor,
any source type or format from video to HD-SDI can be easily displayed.
The MMS 1000 also includes four-side soft-edge blend, and can be
configured to include geometric warp and seamless switching through
easy-to-add options. The LIGHTNING 35HD-T produces 18,000 center lumens
and 1600:1 contrast, powerful enough to tackle any venue.
Digital
Projection's other PROFESSIONAL SERIES displays include the HIGHlite
12000sx+ and 12000HD, as well as the recently announced TITAN 6000sx+.
The Company's entire lineup of precision DLPTM displays will be
exhibited in booth 959, and at the Large Venue Gallery, at INFOCOMM in
Las Vegas, June 8-10, 2005.
