The E-Vision LASER 4K Reference projector is the new benchmark for 4K image quality and color performance from a 1-chip DLP projector. While our other 1-chip DLP projectors display imagery nothing short of stunning, the E-Vision LASER 4K Reference takes the next step in performance. For applications requiring the most accurate imagery such as simulation, visualization, and dedicated elite home cinemas, the Reference Series provides enhanced contrast, smear reduction, lag-free response and inherently low latency.
E-Vision LASER 4K Reference projectors add DP’s new RLA illumination technology. Red Laser Assist along with our proven blue laser-phosphor illumination engine provides richly saturated and bright colors while system electronics ensure superb color accuracy. For specialized applications requiring higher refresh rates to eliminate image blur, E-Vision 4K Reference projectors can operate at 2716 x 1528 resolution at 120 Hz.
E-Vision LASER 4K Reference IR
For military simulation users and integrators, the E-Vision LASER 4K Reference IR is available, adding an Infra-Red (IR) video channel to enable visual stimulation using real Night Vision Goggles (NVG). To simulate a night-time real-world environment, the on-screen image can be dimmed to levels that are barely visible to the human eye or even to total black. In that scenario, the projected scene can only be viewed using NVGs. No special software is required for Night Vision Goggle viewing as the signal processing is completed by the projector’s electronics.
Lamp replacements are never required due to the E-Vision LASER 4K Reference’s solid-state laser illumination system. By eliminating regular lamp replacement cycles, system operation is never interrupted and with its filterless design, long-term maintenance cost is near zero. This key benefit allows the E-Vision LASER 4K Reference to offer a much lower cost of ownership over the lifespan of the projector. As evidence, the warranty also covers the light source for the same term as every other component in the projector.
Other key benefits of laser illumination:
- Blending multiple projectors is simplified as laser projectors are closely matched “out of the box” for color & brightness
- Predictable and stable brightness provides close tracking in matched systems over the long-term
- DP’s ColorMax™ ensures precise color matching so color alignment is never a maintenance worry
- DP’s MultiAxis orientation capability and optional lenses (starting at 0.38:1 and up) provide design flexibility in even the tightest installation footprints
