DIGITAL PROJECTION LAUNCHES NEW HIGHLITE 2K Resolution 10000HD AND 12000HD PROFESSIONAL SERIES PROJECTORS
Company Now Offers Three Products With 2K x 1K Native Resolution

KENNESAW, GA, (February 8, 2005) - Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, officially introduced two new 3-chip DLP™ Professional Series projectors with 2048 x 1080 native resolution, the HIGHlite 10000HD and 12000HD. Along with the company's flagship, the LIGHTNING 35HD, DPI now offers three high-brightness projectors employing 2K resolution within its lineup of six Professional Series models.

The HIGHlite 10000HD and 12000HD, the world's lightest and smallest 2K x 1K resolution 3-chip DLP™ projectors, provide an excellent combination of lumen output (10,000 and 12,000 ANSI lumens, respectively) and incredibly rich contrast of up to 2000:1. The combination makes the projector an extraordinary solution for a diverse range of wide format staging applications, medium-to-large-venue system installations, scientific visualization, simulation and premier home entertainment. The HIGHlite HD series projectors can support any video, HD or computer source, include four-side soft-edge blend and can be configured to incorporate advanced options such as seamless cross-fade and user-definable geometric warp. Active stereo 3D at resolutions up to 1400 x 1050 at 96 Hz is also supported.

“The new HIGHlite 10000HD and 12000HD are perfect complements to our already powerful ‘Pro' Series lineup,” said Mike Levi, president of Digital Projection, Inc. “Large and critical venue customers requiring widescreen, native HD projection are becoming more prevalent in a number of vertical markets. The new, mid-sized chassis HIGHlite HD's set the benchmark for image quality and features set in this performance class.”

The entire lineup of Digital Projection's Pro Series projectors, including the new HIGHlite 10000HD and 12000HD, share the same ingenious mechanical configuration and options, starting with DPI's exclusive rigging/stacking system with integrated pitch-and-roll adjustments. This design renders the projectors “ready to rig or stack” right out of the transit case, saving time and manpower during system integration and simplifying critical alignment when edge-matching or overlaying multiple projectors.

Since introducing its first Pro Series model, the LIGHTNING 35HD, one year ago, a number of industry-leading staging and rental companies have purchased notable fleets of DPI's Pro Series projectors. A few of the more well-known companies are American Hi Tech Rentals (Houston, TX), Alford Media (Coppell, TX), AV Concepts (Phoenix, AZ), AVFX (Boston, MA), Cinevision (Atlanta, GA), Full Aperture (Chicago, IL), ICON Presentations (Palm Desert, CA), LMG (Orlando, FL), Media Solutions (Las Vegas, NV) and VER (Los Angeles, CA).

The HIGHlite 10000HD and 12000HD Pro Series projectors will begin shipping in March 2005.
