Digital Projection At The 2006 Tribeca Film Festival
In Digital Projection's largest film festival venture thus far, DPI announces the exclusive agreement to provide a fleet of DLP projection systems to the Tribeca Film Festival for the third consecutive year. Digital Projection will be providing projectors for twenty-three different venues at the 2006 festival, encompassing a variety of theatres and screen sizes. A majority of DPI's product line will be utilized for the annual New York City event ranging from the single-chip DLP iVision series to the powerful three-chip LIGHTNING Professional series displays.
Of the 340 films being shown at Tribeca this year, 60% of these films will be shown on a projector from Digital Projection International. Festival films will be shown on screens ranging from 14' to 50' in size, with audiences from 150 to 700 people in attendance. Utilizing preexisting venues such as Loews, AMC, and Regal Theatres, 3 art house venues and 2 custom built theatres, the Tribeca Film Festival will employ the full scope of DPI's product line including the iVision HD, dVision HD, Mercury 5000 HD, HIGHlite 12000Dsx+, and the LIGHTNING 35HD-T.
infoComm 2006 Preview
It seems like we just finished unloading our trucks from infoComm 2005, yet we find ourselves already fully immersed in planning for infoComm 2006. It is amazing how time flies when you are in the projector business! This year's show takes place in Orlando on June 7th , 8th and 9th .
At infoComm '06, Digital Projection will display every product in our lineup through a number of venues and partner booths. Although it is a bit too early to convey specific details of the new products we intend to launch at the show, we can share some broader information regarding the DP venues and projector platform enhancements you can expect to see.
Show Floor Exhibit - Booth 3759: 3000 sq. ft of amazing DP projected imagery, where our wide array of projection systems will be displayed in configurations appropriate for business, entertainment, visualization, inspiration and large venue applications. You can expect to hear about many important enhancements to our product line, including lumen increases, all-new video processing electronics, as well as the first 1 and 3-chip DLP projectors to benefit from TI's new 1080P DMD.
Large Venue Gallery: As the name implies, DP will rely on this venue to showcase the most powerful projectors in our lineup. Our newest LIGHTNING Pro series display will be running in the LVG, equipped with breakthrough performance that will assure show attendees know, when DP boasts “Precision Displays for Every Venue”, we mean it.
DP's Hospitality Suite and All-In Poker Tournament - Meeting Room 209A: On Wednesday the 7th and Thursday the 8th after the show, DP will open our doors for an informal Hospitality and Screening Suite, just off the exhibit floor. This convenient location will also serve as the venue for our ALL-IN Texas Hold'em Tournament, which will take place during the hospitality hours on Wednesday. Feel free to stop by to enjoy refreshments with us, network with your industry friends, and watch the top DP dealer salespeople from across the US test their Texas Hold'em skills, as they compete for prizes worth more than $40,000!
