All-In

At info Comm 05, Digital Projection announced the exciting ALL-IN Promotion and Poker Tournament . This exciting year-long event rewards DPI commercial AV Dealer sales associates with both cash and official All-IN poker chips when they transact orders for DPI projectors. Salespeople accumulate $10 of cash for each $1000 of DPI invoice value (1% of sales).

In addition to the cash rewards, DPI also includes 1 poker chip (worth $1000 at the Texas Hold ‘em Tournament) per $1000 of invoice value. Save those poker chips! Once you build your stake to 50 chips ($50,000 in DP projector sales), you will qualify to compete in our exclusive ALL-IN Poker Tournament, to be held at info Comm 06 in Orlando. Prizes for the top six tournament winners include glamorous trips to the All-In capital of the world, Las Vegas! The top three winners will also take home one of Digital Projection's precision home cinema displays - an iVision HD-X, dVision HD, and even our spectacular MERCURY HD projector will each be awarded.

To take part, you simply need to register as an All-In participant, then, as you transact DPI projector sales, register the details of each transaction using the same form.

Here is the link to the program details and registration form: Register NOW!

Digital Projection Spiff example:
The sale of a Mercury gv projector, 1.5 – 1.8:1 lens and spare lamp module totals $15,775.00 in DP invoice value. DP will round all invoices up to the nearest $1000 when awarding spiffs and chips, thus, the sale of this system is rounded to $16000. In this example, the dealer sales associate is awarded $160.00 in cash (16 x $10) as well as 16 thousand dollars worth of All-In chips for the All In Tournament .

TECH TIPS

Improved Edge Blending with HIGHlite Pro Series

Digital Projection's capable HIGHlite Professional Series displays have already found homes in numerous major events and venues.  In many cases, multiple HIGHlites are employed in projection arrays to create images of extraordinary aspect ratios and resolution.  In most of these applications, soft-edge blends are carefully aligned to assure the transition from one projector's image to the next, is visually transparent.

Although external edge-blending systems can be utilized, all four products in our HIGHlite Pro Series lineup (8000/12000sx+, 10000/12000HD) include 4 side soft-edge blend as a standard feature.  In the latest version of HIGHlite Pro firmware, the edge-blend capabilities have been improved in two notable ways.

1. The bit-depth resolution of the blend ramp (the area of the image where two units overlap) has been increased from 8 bits to 10 bits.  This means that the soft-edge area of the image can now be ramped down in 1024 discreet steps.

2. A black level compensation adjustment has been added.  Specifically, the black level (brightness) of the non-blend area can now be increased on each projector, such that the black level of the non-blend area matches the black level in the blend area.  For clarification, the black level in the blend area is normally 2X the black level of the non-blend area, due to the fact that two projectors are displaying content in the blend zone.  Employing this feature does reduce the contrast ratio of the blended display to 50% of the contrast ratio of the projectors being employed, however, with the non-blend black level now matching the blend black level, content producers are free to create and display any imagery they like - even fades to black - without worry that the magic of the soft-edge-blend will be revealed.

To carry the HIGHlite Pro series' blend capabilities even further in application creativity, DP's optional image warp card can be added to each projector.  When so equipped, HIGHlite Pros can apply dynamic geometry correction to the input sources, making possible the accurate display of imagery on compound-curved and even multi-plane screens.  When applying DP's LIGHTNING Pro series projectors (35HD, 35HD-T, 30sx+) in your venues and events, similar 4-sided blend and image warp capabilities are enabled through use of our amazing MMS 1000 multi-media switcher.
