What exactly is Red Laser Technology and what does it do?

Projectors featuring laser phosphor illumination have become the state-of-the-art in the AV industry. Utilizing blue lasers along with a yellow phosphor wheel to create red and green light, these projectors produce a broad color gamut that meets the standards of most discerning viewers. However, color gamut can almost always be improved!

As part of our commitment to producing truly exceptional viewing experiences, Digital Projection has developed our new ColorBoost+ Red Laser technology. Integrating direct red lasers along with the blue lasers and phosphor wheel produces much more red illumination energy. Due to the narrow wavelength of the direct-red laser light, red on-screen content is displayed with greater saturation, culminating in more accurate color reproduction and more lifelike skin tones than was previously possible on single-chip DLP projectors. The resulting color gamut guarantees the projector will achieve at least the REC709 standard. Take a look at some of these models below:

The M-Vision Laser 21000 WU and E-Vision Laser 13000 WU now boast built-in ColorBoost technology along with Red Lasers to bring the most realistic and saturated colors to these 1-Chip DLP projectors. Intelligent processing brings the color performance ever closer to that of a 3-Chip DLP projector.
