As the Singapore Maritime and Port Authority’s (SMPA) Integrated Ship’s Bridge Simulation Centre approached its tenth anniversary, it was headed towards the open water of a like-for-like lamped projection upgrade, until Digital Projection turned the tide with the launch of its stable solid-state laser phosphor light source projection technology, the HIGHlite Laser.

Auvisys choisit Digital Projection pour…

Après trois ans et demi de travaux, la bibliothèque Alexis de Tocqueville a été inaugurée en grande pompe à Caen en début d’année. Conçue par le bureau d’architecture OMA du hollandais Rem Koolhaas, la bibliothèque en forme de croix de Saint-André s’organise autour de quatre pôles thématiques – Arts ; Littérature ; Sciences & techniques ; Sciences humaines – et regroupe plus d’un million d’ouvrages. Dirigée par Olivier Tacheau, elle dispose d’un auditorium pour les conférences, de lieux d’expositions, salles de lecture, d’un café restaurant, d’espaces de conservation et d’administration ; soit une surface de 11.700 m2, dont 5.800 m2 sont ouverts au public.

Difficiles de trouver des missions plus critiques que celles d’un centre de contrôle de la station spatiale internationale (SSI). Alors que les vieux projecteurs du Centre de contrôle Columbus, qui est chargé du module européen de la SSI, posaient de nombreux problèmes, le centre de recherche de l’Allemagne pour l’aéronautique et l’astronautique, Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR), a dû prendre des décisions importantes. Lors d’un appel d’offres, Digital Projection a éclipsé la concurrence en proposant le « meilleur rapport qualité-prix » avec ses vidéoprojecteurs quatre étoiles E-Vision Laser 8500, dont l’un est redondant.
