The Tribeca Film Festival will utilize 19 of its large venue displays to present 100% of the digital screenings during the New York-based event, from April 19 th through May 1st, 2005.
This year, digital screenings account for 50% of all Tribeca Film Festival entries, marking the vital role DPI's projectors will serve at the event. The fleet of projectors will include DPI's powerful, native 2K resolution LIGHTNING 35HD, the liquid cooled and ultra high-contrast HIGHlite 12000Dsx+, and the company's newest and most compact 3-chip DLP projector - the Mercury 5000HD. This array of precision displays will present a total of 286 digital entries, including shorts, at over 1000 individual screenings. In total, 16 Tribeca Film Festival theaters will be digitally equipped with DPI's projectors.

Digital Projection is pleased to announce we will soon commence shipping Mercury HD (single lamp) projectors with a new yellow notch filter that improves color gamut and reproduction.
Why is this yellow notch filter important?
All current products within the Mercury lineup employ Metal Halide lamps as their illumination source. These lamps deliver many benefits, including longer lamp life, exceptional lumen per watt efficiency, and low cost of ownership. Metal Halide products are generally very suitable for business and high use applications.

Digital Projection International announced it has retained Bill LeCompte to develop its staging and special project opportunities in the Pacific Northwest region. LeCompte will also work with DPI’s Manufacturers Representatives to further cultivate the company’s Commercial AV and Home Cinema dealer channels.
