Digital Projection Makes a Lasting Impression at ISE 2020

This year's ISE show was simply incredible and despite the reported drop in show attendee numbers, the DP booth was consistently filled with our strategic partners and valued customers.  ISE 2020 also saw the first public EMEA showing of our new, revolutionary Satellite Modular Laser System (MLS) - which was understandably very exciting!  With our main stand in Hall 1, we also had a second setup in the VR Hall 14 where two INSIGHT 4K HFR 360 multi-view solutions were ready to give visitors a unique look at the immersive capabilities of our native 4K-3D system.  If you were in Amsterdam and at the show, we hope you had the chance to stop by and see all our solutions on display.  If we missed you, however, check below for a full show recap!

 

Satellite MLS

ISE 2020 saw the first public EMEA showing of our revolutionary Satellite Modular Laser System (MLS). This ingenious new technology offers a small number of simple building blocks that allows users to address a wide range of applications, from single projector installs to complex, multi-channel domes, caves and simulators.

The cornerstone of the system is the separation of the light source, with its associated power and thermal management, to a remote location, which enables a small, compact projection ‘Head’ that only contains the minimal optical and video processing.  This bona fide game changer could very well be the model for all future projection technology!

 

Immersive and Collaborative Virtual Environments in Native 4K-3D

If you saw us at InfoComm 2019, then you saw our first-of-its-kind INSIGHT 4K HFR 360 - Multiview solution.  With Multi-View 3D projection, a single projector, with ultra-fast frame rates will accommodate several viewers, each being tracked and each having a view of the image that remains appropriate to their changing position. This allows the users to see and interact with each other in a truly shared collaborative manner.

To truly showcase the capabilities of this new system we brought along the technology gurus from Germany's University of Weimar VR Lab - which extensively uses this solution.  Located in the VR Hall 14, Digital Projection had two of these setups showing the system's groundbreaking capabilities in virtual tours and immersive training modules.

The INSIGHT 4K HFR 360 was also honored at the show with the Top New Technology Award for Large Venue Projectors from Commercial Integrator!
