Branded as ‘The Soul of Mexico’ in Dubai, Meshico group consists of three restaurants across the city: Puerto 99 Bluewaters, which overlooks Dubai Marina and the JBR skyline; Meshico The Point, The Palm Jumeirah, overlooking Atlantis the Palm; and Tulum, Dubai Mall, next to the Dubai Fountains.
Following a two-year, €12 million refurbishment, the Central Market of Zaragoza (el Mercado Central de Zaragoza) marked its reopening with a stunning multimedia show that was projected onto its south façade over two nights in February of this year.
After three and a half years, the new state of the art Alexis de Tocqueville library in Caen was inaugurated in early 2017. Designed by famous Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas from OMA, the building, shaped like a St Andrew’s cross, hosts over one million art works and is organised around four themed areas: Arts, literature, sciences & technologies and human sciences.
A total of 20 Digital Projection M-Vision Laser 21000 units have been used as part of a multimedia facelift for the Roshen confectionary factory in Kiev, Ukraine; one of Eastern Europe’s most recognised institutions.
The installation – which features illuminated fountains and an animated ice rink alongside the video projections – was headed by French light design agency Les Éclaireurs, whose artistic director, Lucas Goy, took care of multimedia and lighting design, as well as show programming and content.
Based in Glasgow’s Digital Media Quarter, Glasgow School of Art’s School of Simulation and Visualisation (SimVis) – formerly The Digital Design Studio – is an immersive visualisation centre for commercial and postgraduate research where the highest quality visualisation is the very nucleus of every project undertaken. State-of-the-art technology is of paramount importance for SimVis. Guided by the expertise of Antycip Simulation, the need for a high brightness, 4K resolution, 3D stereoscopic projection solution was fully met by Digital Projection’s INSIGHT Laser 4K.
Known for his incredible artistic works created from raw data and sound, Japanese visual and sound artist Ryoji Ikeda recently presented the final instalment of his spectacular data-verse exhibition series at 180 Studios, 180 The Strand (London, 20th May – 18th September).
