ATLANTA, GA – (November 23, 2015) – Meggitt Training Systems, the supplier of the US Army’s next generation virtual small arms trainer, EST II (Engagement Skills Trainer), has chosen Digital Projection International (DPI) as its subcontractor for the projectors to be delivered with EST II systems. After careful consideration and testing of many different products from projector manufacturers, Meggitt determined the E-Vision 6800M from Digital Projection was the projector of choice for the EST II program.
Program Manager for EST II at Meggitt Training Systems, Mark Parr, stated, “The E-Vision 6800M provided the best performance and optical quality at a good value compared to the other projectors tested by our team. During the selection process, we received excellent support from all levels of the DPI organization. High-performing projectors for the EST II program are a necessity, and Digital Projection International’s E-Vision 6800M was able to meet the criteria to support the US Army’s training needs in the years to come.”
The EST II program is a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from the US Army Program Executive Office for Simulation and Training (PEO STRI), which covers nearly 1,000 new and upgraded systems and simulated weapons for US Army facilities worldwide.
DPI will demonstrate its suite of simulation projection solutions in booth #970 at I/ITSEC 2015 in Orlando, Florida, from November 30 – December 4, 2015.
